Healing the Hurting, Shining the Light

Helping the Healing, Shining the Light

“Healing the Hurting, Shining the Light” was produced by Dr. Pert with her son, Brandon Pert, a musician-audio production expert, exclusively for sale here on her website. The main track, the chakra meditation, is 35 minutes long and uniquely combines induction into a relaxed state via breathing directions, lecture material, chakra affirmations and music composed according to a scientifically designed key and scale whose frequencies are harmonic with light spectrum.

An appreciation of the ancient wisdom of the chakra system, which corresponds to modern scientific discoveries about the location of neuropeptide-enriched nodal points along our bodies’ longitudinal axis, can help us enter a relaxed state of mind where natural recuperation and recovery can occur. Learning new positive thought patterns is also facilitated so that we can permit conscious calm access to our “bodyminds” below the neck. So often folks today are unnecessarily stressed out instead of blissed out, spending time and energy on subconsciously focusing on irrelevant frantic survival patterns which no longer serve us.

Two very different musical pieces close out the CD, each chosen to reinforce and strengthen the newly learned positive, healing neurocircuits.

I attended a lecture given by Candace on 15/3/07 in London. In her talk Candace made a reference to cross over of cells between mother and baby at birth and how this changes with each subsequent pregnancy – I think it was something about what you inherit as a sibling. I have read through molecules of emotion and How to Feel Go(o)d but can’t find the reference. Can anyone including Candace help? I am currently doing some research into DNA and would like to research what Candace said a bit more. Thank you to anyone who can help.

Thanks. This is an incredibly interesting subject and I am hoping to find the time to write a blog entry on this. In essence, there is data from many sources showing that stem cells from every pregnancy persist in the mother and can even be handed down to younger siblings. In Everything You Need to Know to Feel Good, I review some of the very avant garde and hence controversial scientific literature about how stem cells can actually become neurons in the brain.

Please write a blog on this as it sounds facinating!

    Hi Candace,
My journey of healing with my dreams brought me to read your book Molecules of Emotion and I recently bought Psychosomatic Wellness and Your Body is Your Subconscious Mind. With the very first listen of PW, I drifted off into a 12-hour sleep, much needed obviously by my bodymind.
I suffered sexual abuse as a child. What you describe in your book MofE about how stressed, powerless monkeys get into patterns of non-self-care, etc. struck a chord in me, for that is what is happening to me.
I wish to change this behaviour and others that are blocking my bodymind emotional healing.
Are there specific exercises or meditations focused on clearing/healing repeated patterns such as this that go as far back as nearly sixty years?

I thank you deeply from my heart because, after searching for so long, I have finally found the reason for why I am who I am, and you have given me the keys to be well despite my history. It is a wonderful, blessed thing. You are definitely my heroine of all time! Does this new CD address this problem? Thanks for any suggestions.

    Ramona

Psychosomatic Wellness is truly amazing. After owning the CD for two weeks I find it is becoming my tried and true path back to self awareness after a day of stress…or upon facing a day of stress. The music is incredible. It must reach all parts of my mind body because upon hearing the beginning of the musical interlude I find endorphins tingling throughout my body and mind. The only way I could find my ‘runners high’ before was to work out. Really incredible.
Like Ramona, I have the same questions about meditations and music that will reach my mind body in the same way as Psychosomatic Wellness. I share a similar experience as Ramona and I know without a doubt that my chemistry is much different that a person who has never experienced trauma. There is something scientifically different in our brain, our altered body mind development throughout childhood travels with us through life. Without reaching self awareness this fact does not reach actuality and when it does become truth, what do we do with it?
Candace Pert, thank you for the work you have accomplished. Most of all, thank you for sharing.
